2000 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

DATE: Friday, January 19, 2001

PLACE: Camrose Regional Exhibition Grounds, Camrose, Alberta

TIME: Registration starts at 10am

MEETING: 10:30am – 3pm

FEATURING:
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Charles Gaskins from WSU will share his knowledge about Wagyu beef production around the world.

Business meeting: Presentation and discussion of bylaw changes. Discussion on membership & administration fee increases and, introduction of a CWA check off fee to go towards promotion of the breed.

A registration fee of $15. per person will be charged to cover the cost of the day.

An open invitation is extended to beef producers, industry enthusiasts and interested parties to participate in the AGM. We welcome and encourage non Canadian residents to join the Canadian Wagyu Association and have voting privileges.

Please note that according to our bylaws only members in good standing will be eligible to vote at the AGM. The 2000 administration fee and if applicable 2000 annual membership fee must be paid up to vote at this 2000 AGM. Invoices for the year 2001 fees are enclosed for active members.

This meeting is being held in conjunction with the Canadian Bull Congress being held on January 19 and 20, 2001. The "Steak Challenge" is on the evening of Friday January 19, 2001. The Canadian Wagyu Association has a booth at the conference and is entered in the "Steak Challenge". Volunteers are needed for the Steak Challenge on Friday and for the booth Friday & particularly Saturday . If you can assist please contact Kim McCarthy at 780-672-2990. Come join in the fun!
