We have limited acreage and rely on pasture lease for summer grazing thus are concentrating on building a purebred herd. The herd currently consists of 10 purebred females and 10 percentage females.

F & F is a family operated farm with Joanne and son Jamie doing most of the chores as Hugh works off the farm. A greenhouse business is also operated on the farm thus cattle that are easy to manage and self reliant are a must.

The Wagyu cattle fit these criteria and Flint & Feathers Ranch is concentrating on maternal traits on a beefy medium framed animal with a tractable disposition. Both red and black genetics are being used and emphasis is given to flavour and marbling characteristics for commercial end users.
